Allah Created us from Fluid that Comes out, between Backbone and Ribs:
We are created not only from sperm, but also from the female egg. While in many other verses the Holy Quran speaks about sperm, here Allah draws our attention to the process of ovulation in women. In this noble verse, Allah describes the process of
human ovulation with remarkable precision and beauty.
(sūrat l-ṭāriq)Verse (86:6-7): خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ۬ دَافِقٍ۬ (٦) يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآٮِٕبِ
Sahih International: He was created from a fluid, ejected, Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.
دَافِقٍ۬ Pouring forth (Edward William Lane), like a container is overfilled and all fluid poured out suddenly.
It is صفة مجرورة ADJ – genitive masculine indefinite active participle, it is very important to note it for later.
بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآٮِٕبِ where it happen, Between the backbone and the ribs, inside abdominal cavity not outside body.
يَخۡرُجُ it comes out (from a given point and this point is inside abdominal cavity, not out side of it) and process of out coming is: دَافِقٍ۬ All of a sudden, like a container is overfilled.
مَّآءٍ۬ a Fluid. why Allah called it Fluid of Creation?
🔹Water content of the human egg cell: approx. 75–80%
🔹Water content of the follicular fluid (in which the egg cell is located before ovulation): approx. 90–95%

How Does Ovulation Work?
Follicular Development (Follicular Phase, approx. Days 1–14):
Ovulation (Approx. Day 14 – Mid-Cycle):
When the follicle reaches a size of about 18–22 mm, ovulation is triggered by a hormonal surge.
1. LH Surge (Luteinizing Hormone)
- High estrogen levels signal the pituitary gland to release a large amount of LH.
- This LH surge is the key trigger for ovulation!
2. Follicle Wall Weakening
- The LH surge initiates enzymatic processes in the dominant follicle:
- Collagenase and plasmin break down the follicle wall.
- The egg detaches from the follicle wall and floats freely inside the follicle.
3. Follicle Burst – Egg is Released, with follicle fluid, all of sudden (مَّآءٍ۬ دَافِقٍ۬)
The egg is expelled يَخۡرُجُ from the follicle and captured by the fallopian tube.
Conclusion:
- Just before ovulation, the amount of fluid in the follicle increases, raising the pressure until the follicle bursts, releasing the egg.

The dominant follicle (the Bursting Follicle) produces self estrogen, which stimulates the growth of the uterine lining and prepares the pituitary gland for ovulation. The Dominant Follicle self, Actively Controls Ovulation!
(دَافِقٍ۬ It is صفة مجرورة ADJ –and active participle) indicate it is actively participating all process of دَافِقٍ۬. - بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآٮِٕبِ it all happen, Between the backbone and the ribs, inside abdominal cavity not outside body like Semen Ejaculation.
